Flanagan Bio

Dr. Amanda Flanagan

Dr. Amanda Flanagan grew up in New Jersey where she was active in her local community playing the clarinet and fencing épée. She received her Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience at Wheaton College in Massachusetts where she volunteered at local animal shelters. At Wheaton, she interned with working dogs at a canine PTSD center. She obtained her veterinary degree at Cornell University, College of Veterinary Medicine. During her time at Cornell, she worked with small animals in the anesthesia department.

Dr. Flanagan’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is building relationships with her clients and pets and providing goal-oriented care. She has a special interest in animal behavior and general surgery. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and is certified Fear Free.

Dr. Flanagan lives with her partner and her cat Magnus. During her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and hanging out with family and friends. She also enjoys trying new foods and being outdoors.
